The latest attestation of the Egyptian god Heka (“Magic”)

The latest attestation of the Egyptian god Heka (“Magic”) is preserved in an ancient Egyptian ritual instruction for a lamp divination dated to the late 2nd or early 3rd century. The passage reads:

“You are the lamp that was brought to her. The potency of Sachmet, your mother, and Heka, your father, is hurled against you.”
